How Permafrost Wiki handles visitor data: what little we collect, which third-party services are involved, how embedded trailers load and what your choices are.

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Introduction

This policy explains how Permafrost Wiki (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit www.permafrost-wiki.site. We are a fan-made site and are not affiliated with SpaceRocket Games or Toplitz Productions.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to what is needed to run the site:

  • Usage data — anonymous statistics such as pages viewed, time on page and the site that referred you.
  • Device data — browser type, screen size and device category, so pages display well.
  • Local storage — your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser. It never leaves your device.

You do not need an account to read anything here, and we do not collect payment details.

How we use it

  • To keep the site working and loading quickly.
  • To learn which guides are most useful so we know what to update.
  • To spot and block spam or abuse.

Third-party services

  • Hosting and content delivery — to serve pages and images reliably.
  • Analytics — if enabled, to measure traffic. Analytics providers may set their own cookies.
  • Embedded video — official trailers play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). Until you press play, only a cover image stored on our own server is shown and nothing is loaded from YouTube.

These services handle data under their own privacy policies.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may share aggregated, anonymous statistics where it helps run the site.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect it, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Your choices

  • Block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
  • Use a privacy extension to opt out of analytics.
  • Read the site without pressing play on any trailer, so no video provider is contacted.
  • Ask us what data relates to your visit by emailing contact@permafrost-wiki.site.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@permafrost-wiki.site.
